Ordered the Monster Roll based on the waiter's recommendation and it was so good I almost ordered a second one...but I ordered his second recommendation of the night instead, the EST Roll.

It doesn't look like much from the outside but once you step inside the place is beautiful with wood dining sets and leather booths and a sushi bar in the back. If you come before or after dinner rush the place plays beautiful calming music and is a bit quiet. We've come here several times and have tried other sushi places and they never compare. Service, food, cleanliness are all immaculate. My husband and I have decided this is the place to go for sushi. Our usual order consists of 2-4 specialty rolls, miso, gyoza, edamame, and green tea! Rolls and miso consistently have great flavor! The pricing here is great usually we only spend around $25 for our usual order.

Although the sushi selection seems fairly light, what was served was pretty good sushi. The service was prompt and the staff very courteous; Well done, Sushi Palace! Price was pretty good too.

Most terrible sushi I've over the years.. Ordered to go. When picking up the order noticed that miso soup was missing. OK. Happens. At home also noticed absence of spicy tuna and eel roll...That's kinda stretch, isn't it.? Anyway, let's try whats left... Specially rolls of 3 different kinds(ahi tuna, special crunchy, and smth else..) - pretty much fried crap with same taste. The tuna one smelled like opened can of tuna, which stayed on the table over at least weekend. I did tried eel and yellofin sashimi. Terrible shit! Octopus salad - indistinctable rubber soaked in vinegar. Seaweed salad was only eatable thing... Anyway - wasted money, almost ruined evening.. Had to make another trip to Buddha Belly and get real food. So much for "let's eat at home" evening.. Avoid at all cost. Sushi at nearby Publix thousand times better. Should be "- 1" star rating.

For a great relaxing dinner night. This is the place to be. They play relaxing music with the calm environment. There sushi is amazing!! I love there hot fresh green tea. You must try there meso soup and ginger salad, and of course there sushi. My favorites are California, cucumber, spicy tuna, crab, and Philadelphia. And there prices are pretty cheap. This is one my favorite spots

Read good reviews and so we decided to come here. Overall I am very displeased with this meal! Ordered a super spicy tuna roll that was awful. Way past overcooked and the tuna was brown (looked like it came straight out of a can). Tiger roll had way too much cream cheese in it, but was at least edible. Edamame came out cold with no salt. Even the dinner mint seemed like it was 2+ years old. Would NOT recommend this place. Fancy sushi in Neptune Beach is incomparably better.

I've been craving sushi lately and I needed to get my fix. After my attempt to pick some up at Fuji Sushi (on Baymeadows) when I was headed home from the office - forgot my plastic money - I made a quick run to Sushi Palace since it was going to be on the path of another errand. I didn't want anything too heavy but needed something to hold me over until my planned late dinner: shrimp tempura roll & spicy tuna with avocado would easily fit the bill. Called my order in and I was on my way. Wish this place was here when I worked at Publix many moons ago. Of course, that means my whole minimum wage paycheck would have been spent on sushi because I would have been here every day for lunch. It's nothing special; there are better places in town. But it's not the worst I've seen either. Just what I expected it to be and it fit the bill for what I needed. I'll have to remember this place the next time I'm itching to get out of the house for a bit.

Although a robust local crowd keeps this place hopping on a friday night, it is easy to get lost in the chaos and a Togo sushi order to take over 30 minutes to prepare. No bar to wait in or table to have a drink while you wait so just be patient. Hopefully you won't be disappointed. They don't have an online menu but if you have standard sushi you prefer. ..definately call a head. The special nightly sushi menu though offers some delectable options....and could just be the only reason to not call ahead with your order and avoid the long wait standing at a counter.

Sushi palace delivers a tasty menu and standard sushi options. Eating in or dining out -the rolls are tight and fish cuts are normal size. The staff are courteous and keep the drinks full on the table. Their specialty rolls are good as well as the sashimi is tasty. I appreciate sushi place for solid choices no frills and quick service as well as their consistence in serving sushi in South Jax beach .

I like this place. It feels clean (not greasy) when you enter. (The Asian woman at front continually fails to greet or even speak to me upon entering. Oh well.) The food is good and the cute young sushi boys behind the bar are talented, friendly and respectful. Give it a try!

I am Japanese . I had a pork katsu when I drove to Jacksonville. Katsu was not so bad! I challenged it, fortunately it's fine for me, fried rice also is good taste.

I have visited Sushi Palace a few times. It is close to work and the service is speedy. It is a great work day lunch spot. I'm not sure if I would recommend it for anything other than that. It is your typical out of the box sushi place. The rolls on the menu are the typical rolls you would see on the same menu at many other place. Sushi Palace does smell too fishy from time to time, and the service is average. On the bright side, they usually have a specials board when you enter with some interesting and creative rolls, and they are willing to make one for me that is no longer on the board.
